- The Demiurg are how the Tau call in their native language the Kin of the Leagues of Votann, or as more commonly known, the Squats, once considered utterly consumed by the Tyranids. - While biologically wise they are abhumans, much like the Ogryns and the Ratlings, they are misidentified as a minor Xenos race by the Tau and the Imperium alike, much to the Squats' annoyance. - Nonetheless, they are highly proficient technologists, miners and traders and offer their services to the highest bidder. And given the Tau space is near Votann, they tend to be frequently hired by them, although there are cases of more peculiar employers as well. - They go to war in their artisan made power armours and carry as their weapon of choice a particular pattern of a Gauss Rifle created on Votann, firing rounds that deal damage to all armour types equally. - Relatively effective against all. Can be upgraded with a Recon Drone to detect stealthed enemies.
