- Elite Specialist Destroyer Marines from the Ordo Chronos of the Inquisition. - Folllowing the Horus Heresy, the Raven Guard experimented in secret to find a cure for their genetic flaw, in what they called "Project Raptor". - Ultimately, Project Raptor was a failure, as the resulting Astartes became far more mutated than before. However, those whose new powers were stable enough, were allowed to contiunue serving their Legion as part of elite taskforces. - One of these was founded by Lord Inquisitor Siegfried Kaslana of the Ordo Chronos of the Inquisition. He offered to Primarch Corvus Corax to "reduct" this techno-heresy from Inquisitorial records, if he in return sent him all of the Warp attuned Marines to become part of his project. - Nicknamed the "Chrono Legion", the Astartes under Inquisitor Kaslana would be trained to further hone their Warp abilities and resist its influences, instead using it as a tool, a weapon that twists the fabric of Reality itself! - Graduates of this initiative received a specialized version of the Conversion Beamer, closer to the original STC version from Old Terra. The "Chrono Beam" as is called, freezes an enemy in time (counts as a complete lockdown stun), slowly removing them from this timeline. Whichever the "erased" enemy is truly removed or just sent to a different timeline, is not yet known. - Lastly, as their name suggests, they can use their special warp packs to blink almost instantly through the battlefield. The thought of such assassins startles every treasonus warlord, barring potentially the Tekarn Shogun, whom somehow has managed to acquire similar tech, much to Inquisitor Kaslana's dismay...
