- Once a Primaris Space Marine of the Rainbow Warriors Chapter, Raúl's story starts at the Taros Catastrophe, one of the first encounters of the Imperium against the Tau. - A proud and war-thirsty warrior, he grew disillusioned with the Imperium's cause when they lost at the hands of the young Xenos, the Tau. - Already at odds with his superiors, amidst the mayhem of the Imperial retreat, Raúl decided to go AWOL and become a star-faring mercenary, seeking new thrills and challenges for his skills. - One of his brief employers would be the Iron Warriors, from whom as "payment", he acquired the relic Las-Fusil "Terranova", rumoured to be made by Warsmith Honsou himself upon recovering a dreaded STC from the Dark Age of Technology. - This Warp-enchanced weapon is feared not because of his destructive power but rather its ability to turn its victims into any organism with which DNA is injected into the weapon's machine spirit. - Fate would have been eventually getting hired by the Gue'vesa led by the psyker known as Libra. Raúl himself has no interest in the Greater Good, but will fight for the Tau, for a price. - Very effective against all Infantry type enemies. His weapon will turn a unit killed by it into a temporary Kroot Hound.
